Technical Bulletin:
Installing the TS-5 Thermocouple Adapter


Note: You must upgrade to version 3.12 Honeywell Service Assistant with Thermocouple support before using the TS-5.

TS-5 Installation Instructions

Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 11/32 -wrench or small adjustable wrench.
  1. Remove the six screws in the back cover plate.

  2. Remove the two screws holding the hanging hook on back of cover. Discard these. They will be replaced with the new screws.

  3. Using the new 8-32 x 1/2 screws and nuts install the hook onto the mounting plate, with the extension of the mounting plate facing the mounting area for the TS-5.

  4. Install the TS-5 onto the Service Assistant.

  5. Re-install the mounting plate using the two new 6-32 x 1/2 screws in the holes of the mounting plate only. Re-use the other screws for the remaining four holes in the back cover.

  6. Install the 12" Ambient Thermistor Probe into the location marked AMB.
