Senior Project Engineer

Job Description:

  • Lead technical aspects of engineering investigations and development projects related to fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) tools for HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Mentor junior Engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or Masters in mechanical or architectural engineering.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
  • General knowledge of HVAC&R systems including vapor compression refrigeration cycle.
  • C or C++ programming experience. Palm OS programming experience is a plus.
  • General knowledge of measurement systems and data acquisition hardware.
  • Project management experience.

Project Manager

Job Description:

  • The project manager works with major national account customers and HVAC service organizations ensuring that project milestones are met and that customer expectations are fully achieved.
  • FDSI manages HVAC contractors performing service and maintenance on behalf of commercial clients and multi-site national accounts across the US. FDSI provides diagnostic tools and consulting to the HVAC industry and has developed a protocol to maximize the energy efficiency of installed rooftop air-conditioning equipment. From our call center, FDSI monitors technicians’ performance and monitors progress of technician’s fieldwork.

Qualifications:

  • Previous project management experience preferably with HVAC Service Industry. Strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Support timely and effective management of all phases of assigned projects to ensure the attainment of project objectives and feature set on time and on budget.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal team members to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Define and document procedures to monitor and report status on multiple customer-facing projects.
  • Identify resources required to ensure satisfactory program delivery.
  • Assist in the planning, managing and tracking of tasks for small-scale pilots and national rollouts.
  • Work with customer to gather detailed requirements to disseminate customer's needs to internal team.
  • Proactively shape customer expectations by way of offering best-practice solutions and processes.
  • Identify and analyze problems through to resolution. Consult with the project team to devise and implement solutions to issues in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain project documentation.
  • Perform administrative activities such as coordinating logistical issues and status reporting.

  • Programming experience; C, C++ or Palm OS experience preferred.

Program Accountant

Job Description:

  • Reviewing and submitting energy efficiency data collected in the field to Utility Program Administrators so that incentive payments can be processed for building owners and to HVAC Service companies.
    1. Monitors activity levels and provides updates to FDSI management.
    2. Responsible for reviewing the quality of incoming data.
    3. Invoices the utilities and tracks revenue and incentives to be paid.
    4. Works with the office manager and other staff to answer customer payment inquiries.
  • Data Quality Checking and Control.
    1. Ensure Quality Control rules are closely followed and alerts management and field support staff of consistent deficiencies.
    2. Participates in regular conference calls with Utility Incentive Program Administrators to ensure that key QC and Audit goals are met.
  • Providing back-up support for the Customer Service, Technical Support and Real-Time Quality Control operations and to be available occasionally to work split shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Background in general business accounting principles.
  • Large volumes of data process with information technology.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and comfortable modifying SQL database queries.
