When HVAC technicians use the HVAC Service Assistant™ to diagnose faults in air conditioning systems, they use sensors to detect the temperature and humidity of the Return Air and the Supply Air.
These four measurements are sometimes difficult to obtain, especially when a technician works on a split system. Rather than measuring and hand-entering the values, technicians can utilize an exclusive Field Diagnostics accessory called the Indoor Probe Transmitter (IPT).
The IPT sends Return Air and Supply Air Temperature and Humidity readings wirelessly via Bluetooth™ to the PDA that accompanies the HVAC Service Assistant™, saving technicians the time trouble when testing split systems. (What is a split system?)
Key Features
- Transmits data over 200 yards with no obstructions*
- Reports values as if connected directly to the HVAC Service Assistant™
- Powered by AC or internal AA alkaline batteries
The Indoor Probe Transmitter pairs with both the Palm PDA and the Pidion, making it useful for existing and new customers alike. Other useful features include low battery alarm, magnetic strip for easy mounting while in use, and extension cable inputs.
The IPT kit contains the IPT unit, AC power supply, and four (4) AA alkaline batteries.
Return Air and Supply Air probes shown are sold separately as part of the HVAC Service Assistant™ kit.
*Removing PDA from aluminum case, using AC power whenever possible, and avoiding metallic obstacles in the communication pathway will contribute to longer transmission distance.
