Designed for...
- Monitoring critical applications (e.g.
pharmaceutical and manufacturing facilities)
- OEMs offering our award winning technology
in their equipment
- Situations requiring 24/7 data
collection and reporting
|
 |
Highlights
- Specifically designed to monitor and protect
refrigeration cycles in applications including air conditioning
and refrigeration
- Alternatively, the HVAC
Service Assistant is service technician's data collection
and diagnostic hand tool.
- Install permanently on critical applications
- Install temporarily to solve difficult intermittent
or multiple simultaneous problems
- Use to field test new technologies
Features
#1 Integrated calculation of air
conditioning performance indices including evaporating
and condensing saturation temperatures, superheat, subcooling,
evaporator and condenser air/water temperature differences,
condensing temperature over ambient, air dewpoint temperature,
power phase factor, run-time hours, and cycle counts.
#2 Easy sensor installation
Select sensors designed and tested for monitoring refrigeration
cycles with the Virtual Mechanic, including refrigerant pressure
and temperature, air temperature and humidity, current, voltage,
power consumption, and digital inputs.
#3 Datalogging Collect
only the data you need.
- Steady-state datalogger logs
at two different speeds when the unit is on and off. Log
faster when the unit is running and providing more valuable
data. For example, log every 5 minutes when the unit is
on and every 30 minutes when off to capture changes in the
weather or inside space conditions.
- Transient datalogger captures
the transient data after units turn on or off.
- Lookback datalogger captures
data before units turn off. Use to see what happened just
before an oil failure tripped.
- Event datalogger captures
data after significant events including triggered alarms
and equipment turning on and off.
#4 Protect compressors
based on alarms including high/low superheat, low voltage,
single phasing, and high temperature. Insert the VM's normally
closed contact into a unit's safety loop.
#5 Notification of alarm conditions
by direct page from the Virtual Mechanic or view alarm logs
after data is transferred to the database.
#6 Easy data transfer with
an extensive array of features.
- Land-based or cellular telephone
lines can be used for more permanent or temporary
installations, respectively. The Virtual Mechanic can share
existing phone lines by dialing out when scheduled.
- On-line data collection status
reports provide tools for managing data collection.
- Data replication allows
you to automatically share data and reports over the Internet.
- Data collection service
allows you to outsource data collection. Get status information
on-line and maintain your own database of collected data
that is update daily.
#7 Reports and Analysis
based on data are available on-line or based on data on transferred
to your PC. Features range from high level problem indications
to lower level data visualization tools.
#8 Weather-tight packaging
for indoor or outdoor installations.
